Supporting our volunteer mentors
Volunteer mentors are the heart of the Intandem mentoring programme, and we deeply value the time, dedication, and resilience they bring. To support mentors, we offer a range of development opportunities, including an online mentor forum where mentors can connect, share experiences, and benefit from peer support no matter where they are based.
Intandem National Mentor Forum
The Forum brings together volunteer mentors from across Scotland to share experiences, strengthen practice, and shape the future of Intandem.
Meeting quarterly, members connect mentors’ voices directly with the programme’s development, ensuring real mentoring experience guides how we grow and improve. The Forum provides a collaborative space for reflection and learning, while also helping shape plans for a national training programme to upskill and support mentors in delivering the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
Online Mentor Peer Sessions
Our monthly online peer sessions offer a relaxed and friendly space for mentors to come together, share their experiences, and engage with fellow mentors and Intandem coordinators. These sessions build connection, provide practical support, and celebrate the shared commitment of mentors making a difference in young people’s lives.
Please keep an eye out for the upcoming schedule of drop-in sessions — and if you’d like to know more about becoming an Intandem mentor, reach out to Debbie Zima at debbiez@inspiringscotland.org.uk.
